In this session we will engage participants with real traffic stop data using CODAP. Participants will conduct mini statistical investigations, both descriptive and inferential, to determine if racial bias is a factor in traffic stops. Further, four high school students will facilitate the investigations with the audience and also share what they learned from conducting a similar investigation. These high school students will be providing their recommendations for math teachers to incorporate real-world data into the school curriculums.
(Be sure to bring laptops for our interactive activity!)
