This is a PREVIEW version of the NCCAT Middle Grades Math Badge. We will highlight various core instructional models, conceptual teaching and learning through the CRA model, research-based number sense routines that support students’ reasoning skills. We will explore various classroom routines that build an understanding of mathematics that contribute to fluency. Please come ready to engage, move, and collaborate! This session is intended for math teachers in grades 5-12 but all are welcome. This presentation will not result in a complete badge and will only provide an overview of the four-part series offered by NCCAT.
