Volumes of Revolution: Is it an Apple or is it a Cake?

Calculus students often find volumes of revolutions a difficult topic. Visualizing the resulting shape and determining the correct expression to find a volume of revolution is seen as a memorization task. In this workshop, we will use apples and ring cakes to develop visualization skills and to demystify volume expressions for solving these typical types of problems in AP Calculus.
